Abstract

This dissertation introduces a new approach regarding the digital data management of Albanian Culture Heritage as a collaborating content creation system. It will permit everyone to participate in content creation, revision and modification. The system represent a web application based on the MediaWiki Framework with Semantic Extensions that give data meaning to the raw wiki text. The semantics that enable the structuring of data will be entered manually by Internet user by means of forms and also automatically by a simple annotator developed in Java. The mechanism on which the annotator will be based for performing automatic semantic tagging is the Pattern Matching Method. The data stored in semantic wiki is machine readable thus facilitating the search, index, catalog, browsing and further processing, analyzing and integration of the information.
